  • Final Notice - Residents of Garnish who do not have tax bill for 2018 paid are advised to pay in full ASAP.  Those in arrears will have water cut off (without notice) starting Dec. 21. No further notice will be given.


  • From Waste Management Board -

  • Waste normally collected on Tuesday, will now be collected on Thursday December 27th.

The landfill site will be closed from 4:00 pm on Saturday December 22, 2018 and will re-open at 8:00 am on Thursday December 27, 2018.

Change to Waste Collection for New Years Week

  • Due to New Years Day falling on a regular waste collection day, the Household and Bulk Waste Collection Schedule for the remainder of the week will be pushed ahead by one day for the entire Burin Peninsula Region.

  • The landfill site will be closed from 4:00 pm on Saturday December 29, 2018 and will re-open at 8:00 am on Wednesday January 02, 2019.

  • From Town of Garnish      Council, Town of Garnish is asking all households that have untreated waste running in the Barrachois to stop doing so by August 30, 2019.  You may either hook your sewage line into the Town Sewage system or install a septic tank and disposal field.  Pipes running into the Barrachois will be plugged as of Sept. 1, 2019.



  • Be advised:  The bridge at Brown's Harbour on the Garnish - Point Rosie Trail is closed until further notice because it is unsafe.  


  • Posted Nov. 18 - Land Available - Measuring 150 feet frontage on Pardy's Point Road, next to Harvey and Linda Cluett's residence.  Good for one large lot or 2 smaller ones.  Contact Ruth at 826.2330 for more particulars.
